My approach to therapy consists of...
Psychodynamic Therapy, Experiential Methods, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), AEDP, and Person-Centered Therapy
paying close attention to timing and only going at your pace
a solid therapeutic relationship, so we can explore your challenges at the deepest level
gaining valuable insight about the relationships in your life from my relationship with you
the long-term in mind so you can have benefits that finally last!
Besides being a psychotherapist...
I am a dedicated full-time single mom to two children - an 8yr old son and 17yr old daughter and we have a small black poodle mix and a black cat
I like to hike with my family, eat at Tex-Mex restaurants, watch movies at Alamo Drafthouse, and sink my teeth into a big, challenging project
My own personal experiences continually inform my work every day
I continually engage in therapy for myself - to help my own life (I get the struggles!) and also to help my work as a clinician (vulnerable people make the best therapists!)
I learn and grow from doing this work - the change and healing in my clients truly continues to inspire me.
